BMKG Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Pours Parts Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most areas in Indonesia have the potential for heavy rains on Friday.

Reported by Antara, Friday, August 27, through the official BMKG website, the potential for heavy rains is in Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, Bangka Belitung Islands, North Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan.

A similar situation is also predicted for Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Maluku North Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

The North Sumatra region is generally cloudy to moderate but with the potential for light rain. Riau, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, Jambi and Bengkulu have the potential for moderate rain.

The situation in Java is generally cloudy with the potential for light rain. The islands of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara are generally cloudy with the potential for light rain.

BMKG also predicts rain has the potential to hit the Jabodetabek area from August 27 to September 1, 2021. In general, light rain will hit Bogor in the southern part.

The temperature situation in big cities is estimated at an average of 23 to 31 degrees Celsius with humidity levels ranging from 65 to 90 percent.
