Juanda Airport Surabaya Implements PeduliLindung Application For Passengers
JAKARTA - Juanda International Airport Surabaya in Sidoarjo, East Java implements passengers using the PeduliLindung application according to the Decree of the Minister of Health Number HK.02.01/MENKES/847/2021 regarding the digitization of health documents for air transportation users which is integrated with the Care Protect application.
Juanda Airport Public Relations Yuristo Adi said this implementation had gone through a series of preparations and coordination with all airport stakeholders.
"Since August 23, 2021, it will begin to be implemented", he said, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 27.
He said that in anticipation of obstacles that might arise in the field, his party provided two help desk desks that functioned to assist prospective passengers who had problems at the stage of validating health documents.
"We also urge prospective passengers to ensure that the laboratory where the COVID-19 test is carried out is affiliated with the Ministry of Health through the link https://www.litbang.kemkes.go.id/laboratorium-pemeriksa-covid-19/", he said.
If the test has been carried out at an affiliated laboratory, he said, prospective passengers can confirm the results by checking the "digital passport" menu in the Cares Protect application.
Regarding vaccines as a condition of flying, he continued, prospective passengers who have not received the vaccine can take advantage of the vaccine center service in the new terminal 1 building by showing a flight ticket and a negative result of the RT-PCR test.

"We also urge you to pay attention to flight schedules and the time required for the vaccination process", he said.
Previously, the number of passengers using transportation services at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya in the first half of 2021 decreased by 22 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
He said the number of passengers decreased from 4,055,468 people to 3,144,790 people.
"This decline is the impact of the reduced number of air transportation travel agents due to COVID-19. However, we together with stakeholders always prioritize security, safety, and service factors for service users," he said.
