Amazing Marriage Card With Four Columns Of Wives, Ministry Of Religion: It's Hoax
JAKARTA - The marriage card has gone viral on social media, which includes a photo for the husband and four columns for the wife on the back. The Ministry of Religion said the card was fake or a hoax.
"The card with a photo of the husband and four columns of photos of the wife is not an official card issued by the Ministry of Religion. It is categorized as a hoax because it is in the name and uses the logo of the Ministry of Religion", said Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Kamaruddin Amin in a written statement received in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, August 25.
He said the Ministry of Religion had no longer issued a physical marriage card since early August 2021. The married couple will receive a digital marriage card.
The digital marriage card issued by the Ministry of Religion displays a photo of a husband and wife on the front page, accompanied by a description of the husband's name, the wife's name, and the date of the marriage contract. Not as circulated showing a photo of a husband on the front page and a photo column of four wives on the back.
He explained that another appearance of the official marriage card, such as the top of the card, with the full name of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, flanked by an image of Garuda and the Logo of the Ministry of Religion. While at the bottom there is a description of the KUA where you are married, the certificate number, as well as a barcode that will be connected to the Bimas Islam server data.
According to him, this digital marriage card service can be accessed at all Religious Affairs Offices (KUA) which have been integrated with the Marriage Management Information System (Simkah Web). Currently, 5,819 KUAs have been able to access Simkah Web.
"The number is still growing along with the improvement in the quality of services at KUA", he said.

To get a digital marriage card, the bride and groom only need to fill out the marriage registration form via Simkah Web at https://simkah.kemenag.go.id/ or click SimkahWeb.
The prospective bride and groom must fill incomplete data, including a phone number and an active email address. After the bride and groom carry out the marriage contract, a digital marriage card will be sent via email and a WhatsApp number that has been registered via Simkah Web in the form of a link.
"A marriage card is not a substitute for a marriage book, so the bride and groom will still receive a physical marriage book. Meanwhile, the marriage card will be given digitally via a registered WhatsApp number or email. The supply of marriage cards at the KUA is still there", said Kamaruddin Amin.
