Karangasem - A fisherman I Nengah Ardana (45) and a Caucasian from Slovenia named Flirian Rensak (35) were reported missing in the waters of Bunutan, Karangasem, Bali.

"It happened yesterday", said the Head of the Water Police Unit (Polair) of the Karangasem Police, AKP Gusti A. Bagus Suteja, Wednesday, August 25.

According to a report by the Bunutan repairman, I Made Suparwata, there are residents who have not returned from the sea when taking foreigners for diving.

While sailing, suddenly there was a strong wind and a big wave that made the small boat he was riding overturned.

"Then, foreigners who were invited by the victim took the initiative to leave the overturned canoe by swimming to shore using a life jacket", he added.

However, before reaching the beach, the Flirian Rensak victim was found or helped by a fisherman named I Made Gunarta. Furthermore, the victim of Flirian Rensak was escorted to the beach and taken to Villa Bukit Segara.

“Furthermore, the foreigner again invited the fishermen around the villa to pick up the victim (fisherman) whose boat overturned. However, it was not found and Flirian Rensak with other fishermen returned to the hill villa immediately", said Suteja.

But the fisherman I Nengah Ardana who took Caucasians for diving was still adrift in the ocean. He was rescued by fishermen who were looking for fish.

Fisherman I Nengah Ardana arrived at Bunutan Beach, precisely in front of the Bukit Segara villa, safe.

"Due to this incident, the two victims were rescued without any physical injuries, while the canoe of the victims was searched by the Bunutan fishing group", said AKP Suteja.
