Erick Thohir Brings Good News, Construction Of 10,000 Pertashop Units Help Create Tens Of Thousands Of Workers

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprise Erick Thohir said the construction of 10,000 units of small-scale vehicle fuel filling or Pertashop by PT Pertamina (Persero) in the next three years is to help create job opportunities for the community.

Erick Thohir said to accelerate the achievement of the target, Pertamina cooperated with Islamic boarding schools and regional entrepreneurs.

"We are building a balanced economy. With these 10 thousand Pertashops, if there are three workers each, it means that there are 30 thousand workers who are created directly," he said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 23.

Minister Erick and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi accompanied by Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati visited Pertashop in Kapuan Village, Cepu District, Blora Regency, Sunday.

Pertashop Kapuan No. 4P.58304 which is located about 200 meters from Ngloram Airport is the first Pertashop operating in Blora. Until now, the outlet can distribute an average of 400 liters per day for residents who generally work as farmers and traders.

Pertamina continues to be committed to providing quality energy evenly throughout the country. This commitment is realized through Pertashop, which is an institution that distributes BBM, LPG, and other Pertamina products on a small scale, especially for rural communities where gas stations are not yet available.

Pertamina's Acting Senior Vice President Fajriyah Usman said there were 2,901 Pertashops spread throughout Indonesia that were already and ready to operate to deliver energy.

In the Central Java Region, there are 443 Pertashops located in Central Java Province and Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).

According to Fajriyah, with the presence of Pertashop which is closer to the community, it can help improve the community's economic level.

"People in rural areas whose professions are mostly farmers, fishermen, traders and others now do not need to travel far outside the village to fill up fuel at gas stations, because the quality and price of fuel presented at Pertshop is guaranteed to be equivalent to gas stations," he said.

In addition, he also added that Pertamina has carried out the one village one outlet (OVOO) program, in which every village or sub-district will have at least one fuel and LPG distribution agency.

"We have opened investment opportunities for entrepreneurs to manage mini gas stations or Pertashop, which of course have a lower investment value than regular gas stations and the business is very promising," said Fajriyah.
