Deputy Governor Riza Patria Claims Jakarta Entered The Green Zone For COVID-19, Herd Immunity Has Been Formed

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria claimed that Jakarta is now a green zone for the spread of COVID-19. He also said that herd immunity or group immunity in the capital had already been established.

"We are grateful that Jakarta has entered the green zone and has met herd immunity," Riza told reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, August 22.

The claim he delivered refers to the decline in the number of positive cases in DKI Jakarta. Even so, he still reminded the public not to carry out mobility if it was not necessary and to continue to implement health protocols.

"We ask all residents to remain disciplined, obedient, and obedient, stay at home as the best place to carry out the 5M health protocol in a disciplined manner and obediently carry out PPKM Level 4 with a full sense of responsibility," said Riza.

"Make health protocols our daily needs," he added.

Meanwhile, regarding the implementation of level PPKM, Riza gave it entirely to the central government even though Jakarta had entered the green zone. The announcement of the PPKM extension will be delivered on Monday, August 23 tomorrow.

"We are waiting for the central government's policy regarding the extension of the PPKM. Hopefully, the policies taken later are in line with our expectations," he said.

Furthermore, Riza asked people who have not been vaccinated to hurry to register so they can get the COVID-19 vaccination. Moreover, currently, there is a new target that is being met, namely that 11 million people in DKI Jakarta must receive the vaccine.

This target was increased because the vaccination center was also visited by 40 percent of residents outside Jakarta. "So the DKI Provincial Government has increased the vaccine to 11 million," he said.

He reminded that the vaccine must be accepted because it is one of the conditions for opening activities. Moreover, vaccine recipients also do not experience significant side effects so that people do not need to be afraid. "This vaccine has no side effects and is halal," concluded Riza.
