Complete Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients Reached 27,793,556 People

JAKARTA - A total of 27,793,556 people in Indonesia have received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine or two injections or an increase of 564,633 people.

According to a press release from the Task Force for Handling COVID-19, Saturday, August 14, as many as 53,618,870 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, or an increase of 406,520 people.

Launching Antara, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the Indonesian government is targeting a COVID-19 vaccination target of 208,265,720 people.

Even though they have received the COVID-19 vaccine, the public is asked to continue to implement strict health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

The health protocols include wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining social distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.

The COVID-19 Handling Task Force noted that the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia increased by 28,598 people to reach 3,833,541 people as of August 14.

COVID-19 recovered cases have increased by 31,880 people to 3,321,598 people.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 1,270 people to 116,366 people.
