The National Police Chief Asks For Optimizing The Sealing Post In Babel
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto held a meeting to evaluate the handling and control of COVID-19 with the Forkompimda Bangka Belitung.
In the past month, there has been an increase in the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 in Bangka Belitung. This is due to the high mobility of people in various sectors.
“This has resulted in increased mobility of people to and from Babylon in the past month. Even though there is still PPKM for further policies," said the National Police Chief in his directive to Forkompimda Babel, quoted from a written statement, Saturday, August 14.
Therefore, the National Police Chief requested that Forkompimda re-optimize the blocking posts at border points between sub-districts, regencies, and cities to between provinces. Not only that, the operation of justice in crowded places as well as in economic centers where relaxation is carried out also needs to be improved.
"To reduce the mobility of the potential for transmission," he added.
This, said the National Police Chief, must also be accompanied by massive socialization to the public regarding the health protocols and PPKM policies that are being implemented.
Listyo Sigit said that this effort was an effort, apart from fighting the coronavirus, to maintain the momentum of economic growth at the national level, which had grown by 7.07 percent. While in the Babylon Islands itself grew 6.85 percent.
"The basic capital is to suppress COVID cases with a control strategy that pays attention to the balance between isolation (reducing mobility) and easing while still paying attention to health protocols," the National Police Chief appealed.

On the other hand, the National Police Chief asked Forkompimda to actively inform people who choose to self-isolate to shift to an integrated isolation location or an isoter that has been prepared. This is important, because at the isoter all facilities have been prepared, including good health workers.
“The isoters that have been prepared must have sufficient health personnel and better care supervision than isoman. This must be implemented so that people who are being treated can truly recover and the risk of transmission due to undetected isoman can be avoided," said the National Police Chief.
Regarding the need for oxygen and medicine, the National Police Chief said that he and the TNI Commander had conveyed to the government that they could be added in the context of handling COVID-19 in Babylon.
"Also related to social assistance from the center, regions, and the TNI-Polri, it must also really reach the affected people so that everything goes well," said the National Police Chief.
