Hoping The Positivity Rate Is Below 5 Percent, Members Of The House Of Representatives Touch On The Awareness Of Jakarta Citizens

JAKARTA - DPD RI member Fahira Idris is grateful that COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta began to experience a significant decline after three times the PPKM level 4 was extended. Data from the COVID-19 Task Force noted that Jakarta had managed to reduce active cases by 90.18 percent over the past three weeks. Previously, active cases in DKI Jakarta increased 10 times until they reached their peak on July 16, 2021.

According to her, the decline in active cases of COVID-19 in Jakarta in the last three weeks is the result of good collaborative work between the provincial government and other policymakers, such as the TNI-Polri.

"People's awareness also plays a big role in reducing cases," said Fahira, Saturday, August 14.

If the positivity rate is low, Fahira continued, it means that the pandemic condition in Jakarta is getting under control because the risk of transmission is getting smaller. "We are grateful for this achievement to be disciplined in carrying out health protocols so that the positivity rate in Jakarta can be below 5 percent or according to WHO standards," continued the senator from DKI Jakarta.

Fahira also appreciated the performance of stakeholders, especially the TNI/Polri, civil society or mass organizations, and volunteers who solidly collaborated to hold vaccinations.

"And of course the highest appreciation for all health workers and volunteers to overcome COVID-19 who worked extra hard, especially during Emergency PPKM and Level 4 PPKM yesterday," said Fahira.

Although currently, active cases in Jakarta have begun to decline, Fahira still reminds all parties not to be careless. According to her, all instruments for dealing with COVID-19 must continue to improve the 3T and community discipline in enforcing health protocols.

"With the consistent increase in 3T by the provincial government, transparency of COVID-19 data, awareness of citizens to follow the rules and the achievement of vaccination in Jakarta which is 95 percent, God willing, active cases in Jakarta can continue to decline and conditions can gradually improve," said Fahira Idris.
