Police Examined Threats Case, Suspect Jerinx SID Asked 18 Questions

JAKARTA - Musician I Gede Aryastina alias Jerinx SID was asked 18 questions when questioned by investigators from the Metro Jaya Police as a suspect in the alleged threat to social media activist Adam Deni.

"Approximately 18 questions regarding the chronology of the dispute," said Jerinx's attorney, Gde Manik Yogiartha at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

Jerinx also appreciated Sub-Directorate 3 of the Mobile Investigation (Resmob) Ditreskrimum Metro Jaya Police who carried out the examination in a professional and humane manner.

"Subdit 3 Resmob has done its job very professionally and humanely checking me," said Jerinx.

Jerinx also admitted that he was ready to meet and communicate with Adam Deni as the reporter against him to resolve the case outside the legal route. He is still communicating with Adam Deni.

"We will wait for communication after this," he added.

Metro Jaya Police has named Jerinx as a suspect in the alleged threat to social media activist Adam Deni.

This alleged threatening act began when Deni commented on Jerinx's statement about artists sponsored by COVID-19 through social media.

Deni's comments also sparked the attention of the Balinese artist, so that it became a trigger for conflict.

After a while, Jerinx's Instagram account disappeared. Jerinx then accused Deni of being the person responsible for the disappearance of the Instagram account.

Jerinx also had time to contact Deni and threatened to commit violence. On this threat, Deni had intended to open the door to mediation with Jerinx.

However, these efforts did not go smoothly and Deni also reported Jerinx to the Metro Jaya Police.

Jerinx was officially reported on July 10, 2021. Deni uploaded the report information through the @adngadn Instagram account.

In the reporting statement, Jerinx was charged with Article 335 of the Criminal Code and or Article 29 Junto Article 45 letter b of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning the ITE Law.
