COVID-19 Update As Of August 13: 30.788 New Cases From The Examination Of 146.481 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 146.481 specimens were examined with the result that there were 30.788 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3.804.943 people and active cases as many as 400.129 people", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, August 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 42.003 cases, bringing the total to 3.289.718 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1.432 people and a total of 115.096 people.

The province with the newest cases was in Central Java with 4.223 cases and a total of 438.419 cases. Followed by East Java which has 4.178 new cases with a total of 353.081 cases. West Java has 3.618 new cases and a total of 651.577 cases. Then, Bali has 1.910 new cases and a total of 93.161 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 8.759 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 4.375 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 3.592 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 2.942 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 28.966.108.

"Positive results per person examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 23.78 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 308.852 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
