Cases Of Cured COVID-19 In Southeast Sulawesi Rise Than New Positive Cases

JAKARTA - The Southeast Sulawesi COVID-19 Handling Task Force noted that the addition of residents who were declared cured exceeded the addition of new positive cases of Corona.

Spokesperson for the Southeast Sulawesi COVID-19 Task Force La Ode Rabiul Awal said the development of COVID-19 cases in the area in the last two days had more patients recovering than new positive cases.

"There are 337 additional recovered patients and 132 new positive cases. More have recovered, that's the data as of August 10," he said as reported by Antara, Wednesday, August 11.

He detailed the addition of recovered patients including 74 people in Konawe Regency, 71 South Konawe, 48 North Konawe, 28 Muna, 23 East Kolaka, 11 Buton, nine North Buton, five Central Buton and Bombana, three North Kolaka, one Wakatobi, Baubau City 12 and Kendari City 23.

Meanwhile, the details of the new positive cases are East Kolaka Regency 29 people; Konawe 28, Kendari City 26; North Kolaka Regency 11; Baubau City and Kolaka District 10 each; three each from South Buton and South Konawe districts; two each from North Buton, North Konawe, Muna, and Wakatobi Regencies; one each from the districts of Bombana, Buton, Central Buton, and Konawe Islands.

"The total number of COVID-19 cases in Southeast Sulawesi is 18,064 people, of which 14,505 people have recovered," he explained.

In addition, Southeast Sulawesi also experienced an additional eight deaths, with details of men 66 and 59 years from Muna Regency; men aged 55, 49 and 60 years from Konawe Regency; 51-year-old woman from North Kolaka Regency; 61-year-old female and 95-year-old male from East Kolaka Regency.

"For patients who are undergoing treatment and isolation as many as 3,138 people," he said. Rabiul invited all parties to always obey the main health protocol 5M, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, diligently washing hands, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility to reduce the number of COVID cases. -19 in the province.
