Thousands Of Indonesian Navy Soldiers Can Smile, Receive Allowances And Home Loans Up To IDR 400 Million
JAKARTA - Thousands of soldiers and employees of the Navy can smile. They receive welfare benefits in the form of money and soft loans to buy houses from the Indonesian Navy.
"The allowances and soft loans are an effort by the Navy to improve the welfare of soldiers and employees so that they will be motivated to work more professionally", said Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Yudo Margono, in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 4.
The provision of such allowances said the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy when opening the Soldier Welfare Month activity at the Navy Headquarters, Cilangkap, Jakarta, is part of the Navy Welfare Month program.
The recipients of the welfare benefits include 727 personnel from the Maritime Potential Development Agency (Babinpotmar), while 5,637 Indonesian Navy soldiers receive special ability allowances (brevet).
Compassionate allowance is also given to 1,247 soldiers/civil servants of the Indonesian Navy who will enter their retirement period for the period January 2021 to June 2021.
In addition to welfare benefits, the Indonesian Navy Chief announced that the Indonesian Navy had prepared soft loans to buy houses for soldiers and employees.
The loan, which is included in the Housing Program through the Office (PPMD), will be given to soldiers according to their rank.
"For enlisted personnel, IDR 275 million, non-commissioned officers IDR 300 million, first officer IDR 350 million, and IDR 400 million for intermediate officers", said the Navy Chief of Staff as quoted from a written statement from the Indonesian Navy Information Service.

The funds for the soft loan, he said, were obtained from the Soldier Discipline Savings (Tablin).
TNI Admiral Yudo Margono explained that the loan was to build, renovate, or buy a house so that before the soldiers retired, they would have had a decent house to live in.
On the same occasion, the Navy Chief of Staff announced that the Forest Command Brevet allowance would also be given to the marines, while Indonesian warship crew members (KRI) would also receive Surface Vessel Brevet allowances and PWO Brevet Allowances.
Compassionate allowances for retired Indonesian Navy soldiers and employees were immediately given by the Navy Chief of Staff to several recipient representatives at the Navy Headquarters.
On the same occasion, Kasal also gave awards to five representatives of the Indonesian Navy who excel in their fields, namely the Commander of KRI Rigel-933 Marine Lieutenant Colonel (P) Jaenal Mutakim, Marine Captain (S/W) Arifda Yenli, Sergeant Jas Purwanto, Sergeant Jas M Malizi, and Serda Jas I Putu Randu Pradana.
A total of 47 Indonesian Navy soldiers received an award from the Chief of Staff of the Navy on Wednesday, August 4.
