Bobby Nasution: 51 Medan Residents Isolate At The Ex-Hotel Soechi

MEDAN - The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, said that 51 residents who were confirmed to have COVID-19 were undergoing isolation at the former Soechi Hotel.

"Currently there are 51 residents here, after eight we are allowed to go home because they are healthy", said Bobby Nasution when receiving a visit from the Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, at the former Soechi Hotel, Medan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 3.

President Jokowi's son-in-law explained that in the former four-star hotel seven residents were recommended to be hospitalized, due to severe symptoms and the added age factor.

Bobby Nasution said that there are no certain requirements for residents of Medan City who want to undergo isolation at the former Soecho Hotel, even the Medan City Government has freed all costs for isolation services at that place.

"There are no conditions, but most importantly OTG because they have the potential to spread COVID-19 without realizing it. Then residents in the red zone, must also be treated in this isolated place", said Bobby.

Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, said this review was to see the isolation facilities that had been prepared by the Medan City Government for residents who were confirmed to have COVID-19 without experiencing symptoms.

"I urge residents, maybe now exposed to it at home. Their homes do not allow self-isolation, immediately come to this place. Besides being comfortable, it can also prevent family clusters from happening", he said.
