Bobby Nasution Decides To Reduce Insulation In Medan City
MEDAN - The City Government of Medan, North Sumatra, continues to evaluate the implementation of the level 4 community activity restriction (PPKM) by reducing the insulation in the city core.
"I will check the latest update on the e-mendagri, but after we discuss with the police chief, we will reduce the insulation in the city gradually", said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 3.
This was stated by Bobby Nasution when accompanying the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, North Sumatra Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah, and related officials when reviewing the integrated isolation for residents of Medan City at the former Soechi Hotel.
Bobby Nasution said that the Medan City Government prioritized blocking at the border, namely in Binjai City and Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
This reduction, he continued, was not because the effectiveness of the level 4 PPKM in Medan City was minimal, but rather following the rules that were slightly relaxed for the community.
"It's like people are allowed to eat at a place with a time limit of about 20 minutes", said Bobby.

As is known, President Joko Widodo has announced the extension of the application of restrictions on community activities level 4 for the period August 3-9, 2021.
"Of the 40 isolations that we have carried out, and personnel are lacking, but we carry out justice in the field and give punishment to the virus, not the person. For those who violate PPKM, we test for antigens. If they are reactive, we quarantine them in an integrated isolation place", said Bobby.
