Sharing His Experience When Tested Positive For COVID-19, BTOB's Minhyuk Praised By Head Of WHO

JAKARTA - Minhyuk from the BTOB group has tested negative for COVID-19. After spending two weeks in the hospital, he held an Instagram Live to share the good news.

Friday, July 30, Minhyuk shared his experience when he was in the hospital since July 17.

“Many people have written (in the comments) that I have lost weight, and it's true… I checked after being discharged from the hospital and I weigh 58 kg. I lost 4-5 kg while in the hospital and didn't exercise", said Minhyuk.

Despite his changing condition, Minhyuk believes fans that he is in better shape. On the same occasion, he also recounted when he became a COVID-19 patient when he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

“As someone who has experienced it, I want to tell you guys to be careful, right. I made this broadcast because I hope you guys are careful. In my case, the fever, headache, and cough were very severe”.

“When someone catches COVID-19, it can be a relief if they recover without symptoms or experience mild symptoms. But you never know what happened. Honestly, I'm a very healthy person but I'm still experiencing (the effects of the virus)”.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) thanked Minhyuk for being open about his experience with COVID-19.

Through his Twitter account, Dr. Tedros said, “I'm glad you're out of the hospital, @btob2mh! Hope you recover quickly. Thank you for sharing your experience and reminding @OFFICIALBTOB MELODY fans to protect themselves from the spread of COVID-19".
