Police Name One Suspect Of Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit Recruitment Fraud
JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police has only named one suspect in a fraud case with the modus operandi of recruiting members of the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit. While one other person is a witness.
"We have secured (determined the suspect) a person with the initials YF", said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Thursday, July 29.
Based on the results of the examination, suspect YF used the mode of pretending to be an official for the procurement of goods and services in the development sector at the DKI Civil Service Police Unit. In that way, he deceives his victims.
However, the suspect gave conditions to the victims. They are required to provide IDR 25 million as a facilitation fee.
"It is enough by bringing IDR 25 million to become a Civil Service Police Unit employee, complete with a letter of appointment decree, a work contract agreement. Then all clothes will be equipped later", said Yusri.
"Later, with the same lure, members of the Civil Service Police Unit will receive a salary as well", he continued.
In fact, the Skep and the employment contract agreement given to the victim are fake. It's all made by the suspect.
Meanwhile, one other person with the initials BA was only used as a witness. Because BA doesn't know anything about YF's actions.
"Her own aunt became a witness. She just realized that her nephew is not also a Civil Service Police Unit", said Yusri.
