Jokowi Cancels Individual Paid Vaccination!
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo canceled the individual paid vaccination program included in the Mutual Cooperation (Gotong Royong) vaccination scheme. This was conveyed by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
"After getting input and responses from the public, the President has given strict directions for paid vaccines that are planned to be distributed through Kimia Farma, all of which are canceled and revoked", Pramono said in a Youtube video broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat's channel, Friday, July 16.
So, said Pramono, all vaccines will still be carried out using a free mechanism. Then, matters relating to the mutual cooperation vaccination, the mechanism remains through the company and the company will pay all existing employees.
"Thus, the mechanism for all vaccines, both those that are mutual assistance and those that are now running free of charge with the government", said Pramono.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Health has issued amending rules regarding the implementation of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine. In Minister of Health Regulation No.19/2021, individuals or individuals can access COVID-19 vaccinations.
Currently, the vaccination program for these individuals can only be carried out at Kimia Farma's health care facilities in eight points in Java and Bali.
The purchase price of the vaccine in the Mutual Cooperation scheme is IDR 321.660 per dose. Meanwhile, the maximum rate for vaccination services is IDR 117.910 per dose.
However, the program caused a polemic so that it was temporarily postponed for socialization to the public and regulating the registration process for prospective vaccine recipients.
