Had A Cough While Greeting Students Participating In The COVID-19 Vaccine, The Palace: President Jokowi Is Healthy

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) coughed several times while greeting online students who had just received the COVID-19 vaccine. Not only that, but he also seemed to be holding back a cough.

Even so, the palace ensured that President Jokowi was in good health.

"So far (President Jokowi, ed) is in good health", said a party at the State Palace when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, July 14.

In addition, the source also confirmed that Jokowi had never met his eldest son, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who had just tested positive for COVID-19.

"No (never met Gibran, ed)", he said.

As previously reported, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka announced his health condition. He announced that he had been exposed to COVID-19 and was currently self-isolating.

This PDI-P politician underwent a swab test using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method at the Bung Karno Hospital some time ago.

"My PCR test results came out on Monday, July 12 morning, I am currently undergoing self-isolation", he said in Solo as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 14.

Before being exposed, he said he often visited several locations prone to exposure, including hospitals, isolation sites, and vaccination sites. Gibran said he had also had an antigen-based swab test but the results were negative.

"But I 'don't' believe it, then I asked for a PCR test and the results were positive", said President Jokowi's eldest son.

However, the father of two admitted that he was in good health and did not feel any symptoms, so it was enough to undergo self-isolation. In addition, Gibran makes sure to keep doing work through the online system.

Not only that, but he has also coordinated with the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, and Regional Secretary, Ahyani, to be more active in going to vulnerable locations to ensure the handling of COVID-19 goes well.
