Sad News From Central Kalimantan, 783 People Died Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Central Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force Team conveyed the addition of 303 positive confirmed cases.

"So from the original positive cumulative number of 28,228 people to 28,531 people," explained the Task Force's Public Communication Team in its daily release delivered by Central Kalimantan Head of Communications and Information Technology, Agus Siswadi, in Palangka Raya, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 12.

The addition of 303 people, namely in Palangka Raya 53 people, Katingan five people, East Kotawaringin 37 people, West Kotawaringin 57 people, Sukamara 53 people, Pulang Pisau seven people, Kapuas 20 people, Gunung Mas 43 people, South Barito five people, East Barito nine people, North Barito 13 people and Murung Raya one person.

135 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya 20 people, Katingan five people, Kotim 27 people, Kobar 27 people, Sukamara 19 people, Pulpis two people, Kapuas 13 people, Gumas five people, Barsel two people, Bartim five people, Barut three people and Mura seven people.

Cases of death increased by 13 people, namely in Palangka Raya 5 people, Kotim one person, Kobar two people, Kapuas one person, Gumas two people, and Mura two people.

The cumulative positive confirmation of COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan reached 28,531 people, consisting of 24,874 recovered, 2,874 in treatment and 783 died.

For this reason, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team appealed that in addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols became a habit of life as a demand in dealing with the pandemic.

Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 4M principles, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.

Every day, the number of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan continues to increase. People at high risk are those who have comorbidities or comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, and kidney failure.

In addition, people who have low immune systems, elderly people over 60 years old, and those who are obese or overweight.

So it is hoped that everyone must be willing and able to make changes to 4M compliance behavior so that it can prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
