TransJakarta Still Socializing STRP Obligations For Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Transportation Jakarta (TransJakarta) is still socializing the obligation to have a Worker Registration Certificate (STRP) for passengers who will use the bus-based service.

Director of Services and Development of PT Transport Jakarta, Achmad Izzul Waro, said the mass socialization regarding the STRP obligation was carried out from July 12 to 13.

"Our latest agreement with the Department of Transportation provides an opportunity for two days, Monday and Tuesday for the socialization period. This is just an appeal", said Achmad Izzul Waro, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12.

Achmad Izzul Waro added that after the socialization period regarding the obligation to have an STRP is completed, passengers who do not have these requirements cannot use TransJakarta services.

Izzul Waro also hopes that this socialization period can be used by people who work in essential and critical sectors to immediately arrange STRP so that they can use TransJakarta services.

"It is hoped that awareness will emerge. Those who are forced to travel are expected to have equipped themselves with STRP", said Izzul.

The management of PT Transportasi Jakarta requires passengers to have STRP starting July 12 regarding the implementation of the Emergency-Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings.

The STRP policy for TransJakarta passengers follows up on the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 49 of 2021 concerning changes to the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 43 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Land Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Based on this policy, the management of TransJakarta set a requirement to limit all passengers of this mass transportation mode.
