Become The First Dutch Referee To Officiate At The Euro Finals, Who Is Bjorn Kuipers?
JAKARTA - Bjorn Kuipers will be the first Dutch referee to officiate in the European Cup final when England faces Italy at Wembley this Sunday. Who is she? This is a brief profile.
Kuipers, who started his refereeing career in the Dutch league before becoming an international referee in 2006, will be appearing for his seventh final in UEFA competition.
He previously refereed two Europa League finals and one Champions League final and was also part of the refereeing team at Euro 2012 and 2016 as well as the last two World Cups.
At this year's Euros, Kuipers has refereed two group stage matches, which are Denmark vs Belgium and Slovakia vs Spain, as well as the quarter-finals between the Czech Republic and Denmark.

Kuipers will be accompanied by two assistant referees from the Netherlands, namely Sander van Roekel and Erwin Zeinstra, while Spanish referee Carlos Del Cerro Grande will be the fourth official.

European football's governing body UEFA, as quoted by Reuters, confirmed that Kuipers would lead the final match for Euro 2020 between England and Italy.
