Twitter Tests Many New Features Similar To Instagram
JAKARTA - Twitter is experimenting with several features that give users more control over their tweets. It is claimed that the feature is similar to the special feature of Instagram Stories, Close Friends.
From a TechCrunch report quoted by Slashgear, Monday, July 5, Twitter is testing the "Trusted Friends" feature that allows users to choose who can see their tweets. As can only be seen by the closest relatives or chosen people.
The way this feature works is that Twitter users can choose who will be able to see their tweets in the "Compose tweet" window. Located to the right of the avatar and above the caption "What's happening?", users will see a dropdown menu that says "Everyone".
Then clicked to bring up the "Trusted Friends" window, where users can sort and choose which followers can see their tweets. Once uploaded, the exclusive tweet will be marked with a green "Trusted friends" label that appears just above the post.

Indeed, Twitter does offer some control over the privacy of users' tweets, but this time the feature could allow users to only show those tweets to selected followers.
Another feature that the social network is testing is Reply Language Prompts, which is basically a system that filters out types of language or words that users don't want to see. Again, this feature is similar to the Instagram Comment Filter.
There's also the Facets feature, which can help separate business tweets from personal tweets, at least for those who only want to follow certain aspects of someone's Twitter feed. However, Twitter does not promise that any of these will become real features in the future, because this time the smell is just a concept.
