Anies Baswedan Asks Citizens To Vaccinate: We Are Competing Against COVID-19

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan asked the public to follow the COVID-19 mass vaccination process. Of course, vaccination competes with the spread of COVID-19.

"Affirmation to the whole community, please use the JAKI application to register for vaccinations, it can be done anywhere, so you don't need to register in a queue, from home open the application, choose a location, choose a time and then come at the agreed time", said Anies in the Gelora Bung Karno area told to reporters Sunday, July 4.

The vaccination process is important to fight COVID-19. Because vaccines can form group immunity. Currently, children over 12 years old can follow it. Thus, all people will be protected.

"We are competing, Jakarta is currently in a situation of the extraordinary increase in transmission, we are racing against COVID, to be able to grow immunity in two routes, the first route is through vaccination, the second route is an infection", he said.

"We want more people to get vaccinated, develop immunity rather than infection, and then grow immunity", he continued.

Previously, the DKI Provincial Government held a vaccination program for teenagers aged 12-17 years. This vaccination program is held from Saturday to Sunday starting at 08.00 WIB - 14.00 WIB.
