Nestle Asks People Not To Panic Buying, The Bear Brand Milk Product Is Guaranteed Always Available
JAKARTA - Nestle Indonesia guarantees that sterile dairy products with the Bear Brand trademark or known as bear milk will always be available in the market. Therefore, Nestle appealed to the public not to panic buying or overspending.
In the midst of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and the implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) for 2 weeks, many people are hunting for their daily food needs. Including, targeting bear milk products and C1000. Now, these two products are rare in the market.
Nestle Indonesia's Head of Corporate Communication Stephan Sinisuka said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nestle was focused on their responsibility to meet consumer demand for nutritious food and beverage products. One of them is Bear Brand Milk.
"We do not recommend hoarding goods or panic buying. We will certainly supply it continuously. So we are doing our best", he said when contacted by VOI, Saturday, July 3.
Stephan said that Nestle's Bear Brand Milk factory is located in East Java, precisely in the Pasuruan area, so the distribution takes time. Even so, Nestle guarantees the product will always be available.
"If we talk about the Bear Brand factory, it is located in East Java in Pasuruan and indeed logistics will take time. But we will definitely do our best to meet consumer demand", he said.
Therefore, Stephan reminded people not to overspend either for their own needs or for certain purposes. Because Nestle will continue to supply to meet consumer demand.
"Because we access it every day, basically we do our best to continue to fill it. So when panic buying people stockpile their products at home, it will be useless. Because basically, we will continue to fill consumer needs", he said.

Stephan suggested that people who have difficulty getting Bear Brand Milk products in offline stores or modern retailers can buy them online.
"If you have difficulty (getting a product) maybe it can be done through various channels, now e-commerce is widespread, it can be done (purchased through there) too", he explained.
On Twitter, the hashtag for milk, which refers to the Bear Brand milk has gone viral and has already received 43.000 tweets. One of the videos that went viral was when a number of people stormed the bear milk product or the Bear Brand milk at a supermarket.
However, it is not known where the recording was taken, but the video is connected to the issue of panic buying the Bear Brand milk due to the implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM.
