Suspected Terrorist Arrested In Deli Serdang, Homemade Weapons Confiscated
MEDAN - The Densus 88/Anti-terror team at the National Police Headquarters arrested a suspected terrorist on Gambir Street, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency.
The Percut Sei Tuan police chief, AKP Janpiter Napitupulu, when confirmed, said the arrest took place at around 14.00 WIB this afternoon.
"Yes, it's true that this afternoon, one suspected terrorist was arrested", he said, Thursday, July 1.
During the arrest, the Densus 88 team also secured a homemade firearm. Currently, Densus 88 is still developing the other suspects who are still being sought.
"One person and still under development along with homemade weapons", he said.

Regarding the identity of the suspected terrorist, Janpiter was reluctant to reveal it. He only emphasized that currently Densus 88 is still developing.
"Now the Detachment 88 team has taken him. The identity cannot be explained because there are still developments on other suspected terrorists who are still in our area. We are only accompanying them to conduct searches", he said
