Bobby Nasution With Erick Thohir's Special Staff Walk Down The River, Invites SOEs To Collaborate To Build Medan

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution invited SOEs to promote the culture of river crossing as an effort to restore river conditions and prevent flooding.

"We can do this prevention if there are positive activities in the river, especially cleaning activities," said Bobby Nasution after the Deli River crossing with the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga and other relevant agencies in Medan, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 28.

Bobby Nasution said that the river crossing activity also aims to find out the potential of areas in the river that can be further developed.

"Essentially the purpose of this activity is that the Medan City Government and SOEs in Medan City can collaborate, agree to clean the river so that it can restore the function of the river," he said

According to Bobby Nasution, the condition of rivers in Medan City is still not good. From the results of the search he did in the Deli River, there were still many people who threw garbage into the river.

"We say it's not good, because there is still garbage and community activities on the banks of the river," he said.

Arya Sinulingga welcomed the river clean-up program launched by the Medan City Government through river crossing activities.

He ensured that the Ministry of SOEs was committed to assisting the development of Medan City.

"Not only in the actual river, but other things. This is the first and second step that we are taking, hopefully, it will be sustainable. We are SOEs are also committed to supporting and helping Medan City to be even better," said Arya.
