DIY Gunungkidul Earthquake This Morning, 5.3 Magnitude
JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY). Residents felt the tremors of the earthquake.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in Gunungkidul occurred at 05.15 western Indonesia time, Monday, June 28.
The Gunungkidul earthquake was located at coordinates 8.49 latitude-110.59 east longitude or 55 km southwest of Gunungkidul. The BMKG confirmed that the Gunungkidul earthquake did not have the potential for a tsunami.
