Song Joong Ki Finishes Filming 'Bogotá' In Korea

JAKARTA - The production of Song Joong Ki's new film, Bogotá will be completed in Korea instead of the original plan for shooting in Colombia. As the name implies, the film Bogotá is a thriller set in Bogotá about a group of people trying to survive set in the 1990s.

Initially, the production of the film began in Colombia in January 2020. Only running for 40 percent, the crew had to return to South Korea in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After that, they postponed the shooting process until 2021. The production team had a chance to discuss returning to Colombia so that they could continue filming.

Filming has started since June 21 and the plan is to run for three months. The production team also adapted the Colombian footage they had for the film's needs.

Song Joong Ki plays Guk Hee, a man who has lived in Colombia since he was 19 years old and is trying to succeed in the business field. Besides Song Joong Ki, there is Lee Hee Joon as Soo Young, an employee who works at a large company and has just arrived in Bogotá.

There's also Kwon Hae Hyo as Sergeant Park, a friend of Guk Hee's father during the Vietnam War and the leader of the association in Bogotá.

The production house IDIOPLAN working on Bogotá explained they wanted to produce according to health protocols for the players and staff. "We will do our best to make a good film in safe conditions", he said, quoted by Soompi today, June 23.
