City Is Ready To Spend Rp2 Trillion To Buy Harry Kane, Spurs Is Expecting Rp3 Trillion

JAKARTA - Manchester City has offered Tottenham a £100 million bid for England captain Harry Kane, local media reported on Monday.

Kane, 27, has publicly expressed a desire to add a trophy to his incredible goalscoring record and he is believed to be interested in a move away from his boyhood club this summer.

Sky Sports reports, as reported by Antara, that Spurs are expected to reject City's offer after Tottenham boss Daniel Levy stayed at least £120 million (Rp3 trillion) to keep his valuable asset.

Despite Kane winning the Golden Boot for top scorer and top assist provider last season, Spurs finished seventh in the Premier League final table and missed out on the Champions League for the second season in a row.

In contrast, City claimed a third Premier League title in four seasons but failed to win the club's first-ever Champions League title after being beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in the final.

The English champions are looking to replace all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who has left City after 10 years to join Barcelona.

While Kane has yet to taste a major trophy for club or country and he hopes to turn his fortunes around next month at Euro 2020.

Gareth Southgate has changed his captainship in both games, against Croatia and Scotland, and Kane has also failed to score.

However, Southgate confirmed Kane will be available in Tuesday's final Group D game against the Czech Republic.

"I know there's going to be a lot of questions being asked about him at this point but he's been through it all 100 times before," Southgate said on Sunday.

"I have answered that a number of times in the past and he has scored the goal that won us the next game. I hope it will be the same going forward."
