PADANG - The Padang District Attorney (Kejari), West Sumatra (West Sumatra) continues to investigate reports of alleged misappropriation of health worker incentive funds (nakes) at the puskesmas during the handling of COVID-19.
This process is carried out by the prosecutor's office to determine whether there is a criminal element in the matter.
"We continue to explore this issue through the investigation process, but so far no criminal element has been found," said the Head of the Padang Attorney General's Office, Ranu Subroto, accompanied by the Head of the Special Crimes Section, Therry Gutama, in Padang as reported by Antara, Monday, June 21.
He said that since the report was received in March 2021, his party had summoned around 60 people for questioning.
"Those who are called are parties related to this health worker incentive fund, their information is needed," he also said.
The Head of Special Operations Unit, Therry Gutama, said that his party will immediately complete the process of the matter in order to obtain legal certainty. If a criminal element is found in the investigation, the case process will be raised to the investigation stage.
On the other hand, if no criminal element is found, the investigation process will be terminated.
"Our goal is to fulfill a sense of justice and provide legal certainty to related parties," he said.
Previously, the alleged misappropriation of incentive funds for health workers at the puskesmas in handling COVID-19 began with a report received by the Padang Kejari in May 2021. The report from the public was then followed up by the prosecutor's office by conducting an investigation.
