The National Armed Force Commander Believes Tightening The Micro-Scale Community Activity Restrictions Is A Solution To Prevent The Spread Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - National Armed Force (TNI) Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto said the best way to handle COVID-19 was to strengthen the micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) scheme. Because prevention must be done from the smallest scope.
"This micro-scale PPKM is very effective in suppressing the growth rate of the positive number of COVID-19", Marshal Hadi told reporters on Monday, June 21.
"As the Minister of Health said that upstream, we really have to do as much as possible", continued Hadi.
The effectiveness of this micro-scale PPKM refers to the spread of COVID-19 in Cipayung District, Bungu District, Madiun Regency, Kudus Regency, and Sidodowo Village. In some of those areas, the spread of COVID-19 which is quite high is slowly being controlled.
To overcome the spread of COVID-19 in various regions that are included in the red zone, micro-scale PPKM must be tightened. In this scheme, all elements of government are included.
"One example is at the Neighborhood level that the role of the Neighborhood head is very helpful, assisted of course by the village sector, by the Village Advisory Officer (Babinsa) and Bhayangkara Trustees of Community Security and Order (Babinkamtibnas) to carry out mapping if there is information that there is positive COVID-19 in the area", he said.
"After carrying out the mapping, the neighborhoods are able to carry out isolation, isolate areas that need to be limited, and also able to separate residents based on close contact tracing results. without symptoms, self-isolation or centralized isolation is carried out", he continued.

As previously reported, Chairman of the Committee for COVID-19 Handling and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) Airlangga Hartarto said that strengthening the implementation of Micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) would be carried out.
This is a directive from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after an increase in cases in a number of areas in the country. The strengthening of Micro-scale PPKM is carried out from June 22 to July 5, or for two weeks.
"Regarding the tightening or strengthening of the Micro-scale PPKM, the President's direction was to make adjustments. So this will take effect from tomorrow, June 22 to July 5", said Airlangga.
In the process of strengthening the Micro-scale PPKM, there are a number of regulated restrictions. This includes office activities in ministries/agencies as well as State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD).
"For BUMN and BUMD in the red zone, the WFH is 75 percent. While in the non-red zone it is 50:50 with an emphasis on strict procedures and the application of rotating working shifts", said the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
