Micro PPKM Strengthened Until July 5, 75 Percent WFH And Online Mandatory Meetings
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery, Airlangga Hartarto, said strengthening the implementation of Micro-Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) will be carried out.
This is a directive from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after an increase in cases in several areas in the country. The strengthening of Micro PPKM is carried out from June 22 to July 5, or for two weeks.
"Regarding the thickening or strengthening of the Micro PPKM, the President's direction was to make adjustments. So this will take effect from tomorrow, June 22 to July 5", Airlangga said in a press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, June 21.
In the process of strengthening the Micro PPKM, there are several regulated restrictions. This includes office activities in ministries/agencies as well as BUMN (State-Owned Corporation) and BUMD (Regionally-Owned Enterprises).
"For BUMN and BUMD in the red zone, the WFH (work from home) is 75 percent. While in the non-red zone it is 50:50 with an emphasis on strict procedures and the application of rotating working hours", said the Coordinating Minister.
The arrangement of working time in shifts is done so that there is no mobility from one area to another. "And this will be further regulated by the ministries/agencies and local governments", said Airlangga.

Meanwhile, seminars and meetings in the red zone must be carried out online until the conditions for the spread of COVID-19 are declared safe.
"For other zones, of course, this will be permitted at a maximum of 25 percent of capacity. So meeting and seminar activities are also a maximum of 25 percent of capacity", he said.
Furthermore, Airlangga also touched on public transportation arrangements. He said the regional government must regulate capacity and operating hours by implementing stricter health protocols.
As previously reported, the recent increase in active COVID-19 cases has put Indonesia in a bad state. Corona cases in the country have experienced a drastic increase, the highest since the end of January 2021.
The COVID-19 Task Force noted that as of June 19, Indonesia contributed 22,350 active cases of COVID-19 in the last six days. The Task Force regrets that active cases have increased dramatically after declining in February 2021.
"Starting on June 18, Indonesia's active cases have been above the world average, so now we are at 6.87 percent, the world is only 6.5 percent. While our recovery rate is at 90.38 percent while the world is 91, 33 percent," said the Head of Data and Information Technology of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Dewi Nur Aisyah, at the Coordination Meeting of the COVID-19 Task Force, Sunday, June 20.
"So if we look at the last 16 days, there has been a continuous increase from June 3 to June 19 with an increase of 41,300 active cases or an increase of 43.7 percent", he continued.
