Badung, Bali Resident Dies A Day After Vaccination, This Is The Response Of The Head Of The COVID-19 Task Force

DENPASAR - The head of the Bali COVID-19 Task Force, Dewa Made Indra, explained the incident of a resident with the initials W (49) who died the day after the COVID-19 vaccination. The resident of Banjar Sukajati, Badung, died Tuesday, June 15.

The exact cause of W's death is not yet known. But W followed the vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

"He was vaccinated two days ago (Monday), then yesterday he had a fever and was taken to the Public Health Center (puskesmas) and then he died", said Indra, when met in Denpasar, Bali, Thursday, June 17.

The COVID-19 Task Force asked all parties not to conclude that W died from vaccination. The Badung Health Office is currently conducting an investigation.

"So, we should not rush into conclusions and do not directly link vaccination with death, there must be medical testing research", he explained.

The Bali COVID-19 Task Force also reassured residents to keep up with vaccinations. Currently, 1.6 million people in Bali have been vaccinated.

"In vaccination, screening begins, to state whether you meet the requirements or not. At that time, you must meet the requirements, if you don't meet the requirements, you will not be vaccinated", said Indra.
