Trump: US will hit Iran hard

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump threatened retaliation for an Iranian missile attack that was successfully intercepted by US forces.

"We're going to beat them to a pulp," Trump told Fox News on Wednesday morning, July 29, local time, reported CNN.

"We will hit them hard. They will be beaten to a pulp," he continued.

Trump also said the US coordinated with the Iraqis before the US-Saudi joint attack on Iranian-backed Shiite militias in Iraq.

Trump called the militias a "cancer on the world" and did not rule out further action against proxy groups in the region.
