Iran Condemns US-Saudi Attack that Killed 20 in Iraq

JAKARTA - The Iranian Foreign Ministry has condemned the attacks carried out by the US and Saudi Arabia in Iraq, which killed 20 people and injured 32 others.

Washington and Riyadh launched attacks on various areas in northern and southern Iraq on Wednesday morning local time, following an attack by Iranian-backed armed groups on US forces and Saudi Arabian oil facilities.

It was reported that 20 people were killed and 32 others were injured as a result of the attack on the "logistics and weapons sites", according to the Popular Mobilization Forces, an Iraqi militia allied with Iran.

The newly elected Iraqi president, Nizar Amidi, also condemned the attack and called it an "unacceptable act and a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty" via the X platform.
