Changan Nevo Q05 Electric SUV Launches at GIIAS 2026, Prices Start at IDR 309 Million

Changan Indonesia officially introduced the latest electric SUV, Changan Nevo Q05, at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The presence of this model is a continuation of the global automotive brand under the auspices of the Indomobil Group in expanding the choice of electrification vehicles in Indonesia while meeting the mobility needs of modern society.

"Today, Changan is ready to take the next step by presenting the latest innovation for Indonesian consumers. After previously presenting the Deepal sub-brand in Indonesia, this time we are proud to present Nevo, a sub-brand under the Changan umbrella designed to meet the needs of active, modern, and dynamic young generations," said CEO of Changan Indonesia Setiawan Surya, at ICE BSD, Wednesday, July 29.

Nevo is a sub-brand of Changan's new energy vehicles. Its name is an abbreviation of New Evolution, New Vision, and New Origin, which illustrates the company's vision of bringing mobility innovations that are oriented towards human needs.

Globally, the Changan Nevo Q05 has recorded positive sales performance. In China, this model has become the best-selling compact SUV for three consecutive months with cumulative sales reaching 100,000 units in just eight months since its launch.

Meanwhile in Thailand, the vehicle has recorded more than 5,000 reservations in the first three months, with nearly 3,000 units having been handed over to consumers. This success is also supported by the design of the mix of an international team led by Klaus Zyciora.

Changan Nevo Q05 is available in two variants, namely Pro and Max, with the slogan Smart Drive, Easy Life. This compact electric SUV is designed to provide a practical, comfortable, and efficient driving experience, both for daily activities and long-distance travel.

At the time of launch, Changan offered special prices for the first 1,000 consumers during GIIAS 2026. The Pro variant is marketed for Rp309,000,000, while the Max variant is priced at Rp359,000,000.

In terms of performance, this vehicle relies on a responsive electric motor, a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, and a compact turning radius to facilitate maneuvering in various road conditions. Changan also equips the Nevo Q05 with a number of smart technologies, such as remote control applications, smartphone connectivity, voice commands (voice control), and Intelligent Driving Assistance to improve driving comfort.

Charging is also one of its advantages, thanks to DC Fast Charging support, the battery capacity can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just about 15 minutes. Nevo Q05 offers a spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear passengers.

The luggage has a capacity of 540 liters and is equipped with a power tailgate. In addition, there is an additional storage space under the 90-liter capacity luggage floor, the rear seats can be folded to produce a maximum luggage capacity of 1,380 liters, and 27 storage compartments inside the cabin.

To support long-distance mobility, the Changan Nevo Q05 can travel up to 462 km based on the NEDC standard. This car is also equipped with a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature that allows the vehicle's battery to be used as an electrical source for electronic devices when outdoors.

In terms of safety, this electric SUV is equipped with 25 Intelligent Driving & Active Safety Assistance functions that help drivers in various situations, ranging from lane changes, parking, to opening the vehicle door. Protection is further strengthened by the use of Golden Shield Battery, high-strength body structure, and IP68 waterproof certification.
