Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram Are Down, Netizens Complaint In Twitter

JAKARTA - Facebook services such as WhatsApp and Instagram are reported to be down. This incident occurred in a number of countries, including Indonesia.

Based on a report summarized on the Downdetector website, users experience disturbances in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil to Bangladesh. Some netizens in the United States (US) and the UK also felt a similar service disruption.

Connection constraints are the most complained about by WhatsApp users. In addition, they claimed they could not receive messages.

Meanwhile, many Instagram and Facebook users complain that they can't update their news feed. Even some of the others claimed not to be able to log-in.

As a result the hashtags #WhatsAppDown, #InstagramDown and #FacebookDown also flooded Twitter, which is often used by netizens to complain if there are social media services experiencing problems.

Launching WaBetainfo, Facebook said that a configuration change caused the service to be unavailable to some users in some areas. The company claims that Facebook and Instagram services are recovering quickly.

This isn't the first time Facebook's two services have crashed simultaneously. In March last year, a similar complaint had occurred, many users reported Instagram pop-up "error" or "couldn't refresh".
