UGM Maintains Best Campus Position In Indonesia QS WUR 2022 Version
JAKARTA - Universitas Gadjah Mada maintains its position as the best university in Indonesia based on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking (WUR) 2022 ranking.
"UGM remains the best university in Indonesia according to the QS WUR version," said Head of the UGM Quality Assurance Office, Prof. Indra Wijaya Kusuma, in a written statement in Yogyakarta, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 10.
Indra said that this year UGM was also able to maintain its position in the top 250 in the world, to be more precise at 254th.
In addition to the progress that UGM has made in several aspects, according to him, there are challenges faced because of the urgent situation. The COVID-19 pandemic did not escape the achievement of the QS WUR 2022.
"Amid the challenges of the pandemic and competition from 1,185 selected universities around the world, UGM can continue to be competitive on the list of the 250 best universities," he said.

This achievement, according to him, is the result of hard work from various parties. Various improvements have been made by UGM from the internal side, including increasing the number of teachers, accelerating the transformation of digital education by organizing courses for foreign students which are almost entirely held online.
"Supporting research, and establishing cooperation with various partners both domestically and abroad," he said.
According to him, there are six main aspects assessed in QS WUR, namely Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citation per Faculty, Faculty Student Ratio, International Faculty, and International Students.
The total value of UGM as a whole has increased from the previous year's ranking from 37.4 to 38.3.
In terms of academic reputation, he said, UGM had an increase in score of 6.46 percent, from 44.9 to 47.8.
Likewise, the aspect of employee reputation, UGM's score rose 2.78 percent from 43.2 in the ranking for 2021 to 44.4 for the ranking in 2022.
