Kualanamu Airport Ready To Use Genose For Passenger COVID-19 Test
JAKARTA - Kualanamu International Airport Deli Serdang, North Sumatra is ready to implement the GeNose C19 test for prospective passengers starting Monday, June 7 with a cost range of Rp40,000.
"The number of booths and the capacity of the GeNose C19 engine at Kualanamu Airport can serve around 1,000 people per day for the GeNose C19 test," said the Executive General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura II Kualanamu Deli Serdang, Heriyanto Wibowo in a statement received in Medan, Saturday night.
He said that according to SE No. 12/2021, the GeNose C19 test was an alternative for COVID-19 tests, in addition to rapid antigen and PCR tests.
"We estimate that at this early stage the number of airplane passengers using the GeNose C19 test could reach around 20 percent to 25 percent of the total departing airplane passengers," he said.
