Sad News Coming From Bangka, 69 COVID-19 Patients Died
JAKARTA - The information center for data on the development of COVID-19 in Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, noted that as of Friday, June 4, 69 people were positive for the coronavirus who had died.
A spokesman for the Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Boy Yandra, said the 69 COVID-19 patients who died came from eight sub-districts.
From Sungailiat Subdistrict, 30 patients died, Riau Silip Subdistrict six people, Puding Besar District three people, Pemali District six people.
Furthermore, from Merawang District there were four people, Mendo Barat six people, Belinyu as many as 10 people and from Bakam District there were four patients who died.
"COVID-19 patients who die are generally elderly with a history of comorbidities", said Boy Yandra in Sungailiat as reported by Antara, Saturday, June 5.

The total accumulation of COVID-19 patients in Bangka Regency based on data is 4,125 and 3,660 people who have recovered, while those who are still undergoing isolation for health recovery are 396 people.
"Thousands of cases have been recorded since the emergence of COVID-19 in Bangka Regency for more than a year, including the addition of 33 patients with the same case today", he said.
Boy Yandra said the coronavirus had spread in all age groups from infants, toddlers to the elderly, even hundreds of toddlers were confirmed to have COVID-19.
"I ask all levels of society without exception to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols as an early step to prevent the spread of COVID-19 despite the decrease in the number of cases every day", said Boy Yandra.
