Ganjar Sends Dozens Of Health Workers To Help Deal With COVID-19 In Kudus
SEMARANG - Central Java Governor, Ganjar Pranowo, sent dozens of health workers to help deal with the surge in COVID-19 cases in Kudus Regency.
"There are a total of 96 doctors and nurses who are seconded, with details of five pulmonary specialists, five internal medicine specialists, 38 general practitioners, and 48 nurses", said Ganjar, in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 4 night.
Some of the health workers sent to the Kudus Regency came from doctors at Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta City, and some were assisted by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of the Central Java Region.
"For nurses, we need a lot of 198, we have fulfilled 48 from the provincial government, then 150 are still in our process, there are PPNI (Indonesian Nurses Association), Health Polytechnic, and Institute of Health Science who are preparing approximately 150", continued Ganjar.
The Central Java Provincial Government is currently preparing other health workers who will be assisted in Kudus Regency, such as health analysts, nutritionists, and pharmacists.
"Currently it is still in the 'assessment' process to be able to be seconded immediately", he said.
According to Ganjar, conditions for handling COVID-19 in Kudus Regency are currently starting to be well regulated, and the local government has also sent several needs, some of which have also been met by the Central Java Provincial Government.
"Yes, now we are monitoring Kudus while at the same time accompanying it because monitoring alone is not enough", he said.

In addition, the Central Java Provincial Government has also partially supplied medical equipment, such as ventilators and oxygen, while medical equipment such as High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and HEPA filters, Ganjar has suggested that the central government should help.
"And for medicine, thank God, we have sent everything that is needed. Then for PPE is the same, we send all the needs. So what does that mean, up to the need for technical support, we try to help", said Ganjar.
Ganjar expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Health, National Disaster Management Agency, Central Java Regional Police, Regional Military Command IV/Diponegoro, other related parties who have assisted in handling COVID-19 in Kudus Regency.
