SBN ORI029 Rated as a Safe and Wise Investment Option

Jakarta - The Bibit.id investment platform considers the retail State Securities (SBN) series ORI029 as a safe and wise investment option for the public in early 2026.

Head of PR & Corporate Communication Bibit.id, William, said ORI029 offers coupons that are paid every month, so it can be an attractive source of passive income for investors.

"ORI029 is an investment instrument whose coupon payment and principal are 100 percent guaranteed by law, so investors do not need to worry about the risk of default," said William in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, January 31.

He explained that these characteristics differentiate ORI029 from bank deposits whose guarantees are limited by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) to a maximum of IDR 2 billion per customer, provided that the interest rate does not exceed the LPS guarantee limit, which is currently 3.50 percent.

The SBN series ORI029 is offered in the period from January 26 to February 19, 2026 and can be purchased through the Bibit.id application. ORI029 is available in two tenor options, namely ORI029-T3 with a three-year tenor and a coupon of 5.45 percent per year, and ORI029-T6 with a six-year tenor and a coupon of 5.80 percent per year.

The minimum purchase for both series is set at IDR 1 million and its multiples. The maximum limit for ordering ORI029-T3 reaches IDR 5 billion, while ORI029-T6 to IDR 10 billion.

William added that ORI029 offers a fixed rate that does not change until maturity, thus providing certainty in the midst of economic uncertainty and global dynamics, including the potential for a reduction in Bank Indonesia's interest rates.

"If the BI interest rate goes down, the ORI029 coupon does not go down because it is fixed. Investors still get a stable monthly income until maturity," he said.

In addition, ORI029 is a tradeable SBN that can be traded in the secondary market before maturity. Thus, investors have the opportunity to liquidate their investments early, although they still need to pay attention to market prices and buyer availability.
