The Governor Of Central Java Ensures That The Mining Polemic On The Slope Of Mount Slamet Has Been Followed Up

Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi emphasized that his party had taken strategic steps in dealing with the polemic of mining on the slopes of Mount Slamet, Banyumas Regency.

"We have followed up," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 12.

Luthfi emphasized that the interests of the community and the evaluation of the impact of land damage will be the main consideration.

Regarding the polemic of the mine on Mount Slamet, it is certain that the governor has been reviewed from various sides, starting from the licensing side to the impacts on the environment and society.

"We must meet comprehensively with the regents at our place," said the former Central Java Police Chief.

Another step that has been taken is to form a task force to deal with the added problems that exist on the slopes of Mount Slamet.

The task force consists of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of Central Java Province, the Ditreskrimsus of the Central Java Police, even the High Prosecutor's Office, and the TNI.

"We have formed the task force, we are identifying the problem. We have officially investigated mining permits, the average is published before I take office," he said.

In addition, the application for the Mount Slamet area to become a national park area has also been submitted to the Ministry of Environment and until now the process is still ongoing, but no decision has been issued by the ministry.

"Meanwhile, we are monitoring it, then we form a task force before it is issued from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry related to Mount Slamet as a national park area. So we already have the 'roadmap'," he said.

Luthfi also emphasized that events on the slopes of Mount Slamet must be a lesson for all regents/mayors of other cities, especially those with mining and excavation areas C.

In fact, he reminded no one to try to change spatial information (ITR).

He stated that controlling mining permits must be careful, must be really clear, and massive socialization so as not to cause problems behind.

"Really do socialization to the community. As long as it is not useful for the nation's homeland, there is no need. Later there will be prolonged resistance," he said.
