Four Minutes Two Goals, Man City Beats Sunderland

JAKARTA - Manchester City had no trouble beating Sunderland 3-0 in the English Premier League match. In a duel at the Etihad Stadium, Saturday, December 6, 2025 evening WIB, Man City only needed four minutes to score two goals that killed Sunderland.

Man City only needed the first two goals to kill his opponent. Evidently after Man City took a 2-0 lead in four minutes, Sunderland did not move. They were never able to penetrate the strong defense of the hosts and had to give up losing.

The victory over Sunderland made Man City again in second place by shifting Aston Villa. Previously, Villa successfully beat Arsenal 2-1 so that they could move up to second place.

Man City, who pocketed point 31, was one point ahead with Villa. Meanwhile, Arsenal are still in the top position with 33 points.

Although they still control the throne of the standings, Arsenal's points have been approached by Man City and Villa. Like it, the two teams just need to take a stone to trade Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Sunderland are in seventh place with 23. Their points are the same as Crystal Palace, who took sixth place because Sunderland lost the goal difference.

In a duel at home, Man City did not have any trouble over Sunderland. Despite having difficulty facing The Black Cats' defense and having to wait until half an hour of the match, Man City was finally able to break the deadlock.

Defender Ruben Dias is the one who managed to open the Cityzens victory. The goal of the Portugal national team defender was created after completing Rayan Cherki's assist in the 31st minute.

Winning 1-0, Man City is increasingly aggressive in suppressing the Sunderland defense. It didn't take long for them to enlarge their advantage.

Only four minutes later, it was Josko Gvardiol's turn to tandem Dias, who received a pass from Phil Foden, managed to turn the score 2-0.

The second goal that was created in just a minute immediately killed Sunderland. Regis Le Bris' team seemed to have lost power to catch the goal deficit. As a result, the score lasted until the first half was over.

In the second half, Man City still dominated. Pep Guardiola's team did not give any chance to fight game development at all.

They also quickly added goals that increased the advantage. This time it was Foden's turn to strengthen the host's victory to 3-0 in the 65th minute.

The goal seemed to end the match because Sunderland had given up because he could not reply to the Man City attack. Unfortunately, the team had to lose players after defender Luke O'Nien, who had just entered for a few minutes, had received a red card.

O'Nein entered to replace Trai Hume in the 88th minute. However, in injury time, he committed a serious violation against Matheus Nunes.

The referee initially allowed the incident. It's just that after reviewing it via VAR, the referee changed the decision and gave a red card to O'Nien. There were no additional goals and Man City maintained a 3-0 lead until the game was over.
