Cremonese Beat Bologna 3-1, Jamie Vardy Contributes 2 Goals

JAKARTA - Cremonese won an important 3-1 victory over Bologna in the 13th week of the Italian League 2025 - 2026 at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium, Tuesday morning WIB.

Two goals from veteran England striker Jamie Vardy plus the brilliant performance of the Indonesian national team goalkeeper Emil Audero became the key to Grigio Rossi's success in bringing home three points from the opponent's home.

This result, as reported by Antara, brought Cremonese up to 11th in the Serie A standings with a collection of 17 points from 13 matches. Meanwhile, Bolognadi is in sixth position and failed to overtake Como, as reported by the official Serie A website.

Cremonese, who acted as the visitors, immediately stepped on the gas since the kick-off. The opening goal came in the 31st minute through Martin Payero's action, which successfully tore the host's net, changing its position to 1-0.

Cremonese's advantage increased to 2-0 just four minutes later. A long pass from Emil Audero failed to anticipate the Bologna defense.

The wild ball was successfully controlled by Federico Bonazzoli who then provided a mature pass to Jamie Vardy. Without any difficulties, Vardy fired a powerful shot that Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia couldn't stop.

Bologna narrowed the gap in the first timebabak injury through the execution of the Riccardo Orsolini penalty.

Although the direction of the kick was read by Audero, the ball remained lodged in the Cremonese goal because the kick was too hard. The score 2-1 lasted until halftime.

Entering the second half, Vardy again listed his name on the scoreboard in the 50th minute. Receiving a pass in the penalty box, the 38-year-old striker again tore Bologna's net and changed the score to 3-1.

Left behind by two goals, Bologna increased the intensity of the attack. However, a number of the host's efforts were always thwarted by Emil Audero who appeared extraordinary.

Thanks to Audero's heroic performance and Vardy's sharpness, Cremonese managed to maintain the advantage until the long whistle sounded.
