Ask Soldiers To Stay Away From Judol And Asusila, Pangdam Cendrawasih: Learn Papuan Istiadat Customs

Pangdam XVII Cendrawasih Major General Amrin Ibrahim asked soldiers, especially those on duty in the Korem 172/PWY environment to stay away from online gambling (judol) and drugs as well as various forms of violations including immoral acts and alcohol.

"Stay away from various forms of violations because the impact in addition to being able to damage morals also tarnishes the unity," said Pangdam XVII Cendrawasih Major General TNI Amrin Ibrahim, in Jayapura, Sunday, as reported by Antara.

He said, in every visit to units including in Korem 172/PWY, he always reminded soldiers to stay away from all forms of violations and carry out their duties professionally, proportionally and not to hurt the people.

"Respect and study the customs that apply in Papua," said Amrin.

In addition to these points, the main foundation for every soldier in carrying out his duties in the Papua region is to increase faith and piety in God Almighty according to their respective beliefs.

"That's where the moral power and integrity of a soldier is formed," said Amrin.

Kodam XVII Cendrawasih oversees two Korems in three provinces in Papua, namely Korem 172/PWY whose working areas are Papua and Papua Mountains Provinces and Korem 173/PVB in Central Papua.
