It's Only Been 21 Years But Gasak Motorbikes In Many Cities, Serang Police Finally Arrest MR

Serang Resort Police officers dismantled a cross-regional motor vehicle theft network (curanmor) that acted in the Banten area to Jakarta, arresting a perpetrator with the initials MR (21).

Cikande Police Chief AKP Tatang said the case was revealed after residents suspected the perpetrator's activities in a housing estate in the Kibin area, Serang Regency.

"The Opsnal Team moved quickly to follow up on this information and succeeded in securing the perpetrators along with evidence of crime at MGK Housing, Cijeruk Village," Tatang said in Serang, Antara, Sunday, November 30.

Based on the results of the investigation, MR, who is a resident of North Lampung, admitted that he had committed theft in various locations across regions. The area of operation of the perpetrators includes Tigaraksa, Cikupa, Serpong, Tangerang City, to Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta.

"The perpetrator admitted to committing theft by weighting in various places, both in the jurisdiction of the Banten Police and Jakarta," he said.

In the disclosure, the police confiscated a number of pieces of evidence, including a Honda Beat motorbike, a Honda Beat Street unit, a T letter key, a safety lock magnetic unlock, and five keys.

MR is now being held at the Cikande Police Headquarters for legal proceedings. The police are also developing an investigation to investigate the possibility of other actors in the network.

"The investigation process is still being carried out to uncover a wider network," said Tatang.

The police also appealed to the public, especially in the Banten area and its surroundings, to increase vigilance and increase the safety lock on vehicles.
