Sarah Sechan's Struggle To Become A Batak In The Heritage Wasiat Film: Derby Is Disturbing!

JAKARTA - Actor and presenter Sarah Sechan faces the biggest challenge in her acting career when she has to play the Batak woman in the film "Wasiat Warisan". As a person with strong Sundanese blood, he admitted that he had doubts about accepting the role.

"I'm a Sundanese. Where is Sundanese when it's like this," he said in the South Jakarta area, recently.

He felt the Batak dialect was far from his daily habit of exploring his role, Sarah was assisted by acting coaches and dialect coaches. He also learned a lot by listening to the way other players talk on set.

However, his biggest challenge came from his own co-star, Derby Romero. Sarah bluntly referred to Derby as the most "disturbing" figure in her concentration during the shooting process.

He recounted a crucial moment when he had to say a dialogue in Batak. Just before the camera rotated, Derby actually whispered with Sundanese intonation which immediately damaged his concentration.

"I've memorized the ups and downs of the intonation like this. The action. She whispered with Sundanese intonation," recalled Sarah excitedly.

"Pay everyone off Teh," he continued.

In addition, Derby also often scare her with ghost stories on site. Despite being full of annoyances, Sarah admits that she is grateful that this experience has become a valuable lesson for her as an actress.

The film Heritage Will itself will begin airing on December 4.
