Arsenal's Consistency Will Be Tested By Bayern Munich, Champions League Top Board Team Duel

JAKARTA - The fierce battle will bring together Arsenal vs Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, November 27, 2025, early morning WIB.

They are the top two teams in the Champions League standings, winning four wins each from four matches.

Arsenal will enter this match with a 4-1 win over their rival derby, Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

"We have to make sure that we bring that energy back tomorrow to the stadium, to each individual and play with the same dominance, aggression and efficiency against the top team."

"This is the kind of game in the tournament we want to face. We are very consistent. They (Bayern Munich) are too. It will be a tough test for us to see where we are."

"Each opponent brings a different challenge. Obviously they are in a great moment. The level of consistency they show in the results, performance, in every metric they have is very, very impressive. We know that."

"However, this is also a great opportunity for us to show our capabilities," said Arteta.

Arsenal haven't conceded a single goal in the Champions League this season, but wing-back Jurrien Timber knows they are facing a tough task to stop former Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The England captain has scored 15 goals in 21 appearances against the Gunners, including one goal for Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the quarter-finals in 2024.

Timber has been an important part of the brilliant defense record for the leader of the Premier League standings, both in domestic and European competitions this season. He enjoyed the challenge of stemming Kane.

"I think he's an amazing striker. Everyone knows that. He has a lot of quality. He's been doing it for a long time and now at Bayern Munich, he's one of the best players in the world."

"So, it will be a great challenge for us as a team, and as defenders, to stop it," said the Dutchman.

Meanwhile, fresh air also came for the Gunners considering their captain, Martin Odegaard, is likely to return for the big Champions League game.

The Norwegian midfielder has been out of action since early October 2025 due to a knee injury, but he is working hard to return to play at the Emirates Stadium.

"He almost recovered in the previous game. So, we hope he can be included in the squad (against Bayern Munich)," said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
